Punches are used to install and drive pins out of holes. All edges are rounded to prevent damage to the workpiece. The octagonal shape is easier to grip when striking with a hammer and also prevents the tool from rolling when placed on a surface. The point is sharpened and polished. The core material design prevents the formation of mushrooms on the striking head. The tools are hardened to a hardness of 54 to 58 HRC – not just at the point but along the entire length of the tool. Forged from high-quality hardened chrome vanadium steel. Conforms to DIN 7255.
